Warranty & Use Policy

At DIY.CO, we stand behind the quality of our recovery equipment and want you to feel confident in your purchase.

Our warranty periods differ depending on whether your product is being used in a private residential setting or in a commercial/shared-use environment.

Residential Use – 2 Year Warranty

DIY.CO products used in a private household setting include a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and faults arising under normal residential use.

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under New Zealand law.

Commercial & Sports Team Use – 1 Year Warranty

Products used in a commercial, professional, sports team or shared-use environment include a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and faults arising under normal use.

Commercial and shared-use products are generally subject to greater frequency and intensity of use, which is why a different warranty period applies.

What Is Considered Commercial or Shared Use?

Commercial or shared use includes, but is not limited to:

  • Gyms and fitness facilities
  • Physiotherapy or rehabilitation practices
  • Wellness and recovery studios
  • Sports clubs and teams
  • Equipment used by multiple people outside a single household
  • Rental or hire of equipment
  • Equipment used as part of a business or paid service

If you're unsure which warranty applies to your intended use, please contact DIY.CO before purchasing.

What Does the Warranty Cover?

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects or faults that occur during normal use of the product within the applicable warranty period.

What Isn't Covered?

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or use contrary to the supplied instructions
  • Damage caused by incorrect setup, storage or maintenance
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect normal product operation
  • Damage caused by external factors outside the product itself

Making a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with your DIY.CO product, please contact us with:

  • Your name and order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos and/or video showing the fault where applicable

We may request additional information to help assess the issue and determine the appropriate next step.

Support Outside the Warranty Period

If your product is outside its applicable warranty period, please still get in touch.

Where possible, DIY.CO can assist with troubleshooting, sourcing replacement parts and communicating with our supplier.

Any parts, freight or other costs incurred outside the warranty period may be the responsibility of the customer.

Your Consumer Rights

For products purchased for personal or household use in New Zealand, you may also have rights and remedies under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, including where a product does not meet the guarantees required by law.

These rights exist independently of the DIY.CO warranty outlined above.
